Anthony Carlo
Anthony Carlo is a New York Emmy and Press Club award-winning journalist who is a General Assignment Reporter and Digital Streaming Anchor for ABC7's Eyewitness News.

Prior to joining the Eyewitness News team in 2023, Anthony was the Weekday Morning Anchor for News 12 The Bronx and News 12 Brooklyn. He also worked as an Investigative Reporter. Anthony was the Executive Producer of an Emmy-nominated and Press Club award-winning 30-minute crime special investigating the gang behind a Bronx teen's murder. He won an Emmy for a two-part serious news feature exploring the 20th anniversary of sexual assaults on women following the National Puerto Rican Day parade in New York City. Anthony also won two New York Press Club awards for his special reports "Justice Delayed" and "Justice for All: Disbanding Anti-Crime."

These stories examined the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the justice system and the impact of police reform on community following the murder of George Floyd. Anthony was also recognized for his relentless reporting on a corrupt Bronx funeral home opening the door for victims to receive thousands of dollars in restitution.

From the very start of his career, Anthony has prided himself on his work ethic. He exemplified such tenacity at Iona University by successfully juggling a number of internships at CBS News, CBS Sports, FiOS1 News, among others, all while serving in leadership roles in various journalism clubs on campus.

As a reporter, Anthony has covered countless big news stories in the media capital of the world. From major elections to high-profile crime, Anthony established himself as a household journalist in New York City. Following his promotion to News 12 The Bronx and Brooklyn's morning anchor role, Anthony led live coverage in a number of network-wide programs.

Originally from Yonkers, New York, Anthony is a big Yankees fan, an Italian food enthusiast and super-fan of the 'Rocky' movies.
