Dani Beckstrom
Dani Beckstrom joined ABC7NY and Eyewitness News' team of meteorologists in August 2022 after serving as the Chief Meteorologist for the ABC affiliate in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Before Las Vegas, she spent her time talking tropics while tracking hurricanes, heat, and humidity in southwest Florida as the morning meteorologist at WFTX in Fort Myers. After several years of non-stop summer, she's excited to forecast all 4 seasons again!

Dani grew up in Boise, Idaho and is a proud graduate of Brigham Young University, with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. While at BYU, she had the opportunity to travel the country as a member of the BYU cheer squad and intern in New York City at NY1. After graduation, Dani spent a year working as an anchor and reporter at KPVI in Eastern Idaho before moving back to Boise to take over as the morning weather forecaster at the ABC affiliate KIVI. From Boise, she moved to Fort Myers, FL to gain experience in both severe weather and tropical meteorology, and was a key part in keeping southwest Florida safe and informed when Hurricane Irma made landfall on Marco Island September 2017.

While working in Florida, Dani earned her Certificate of Broadcast and Operational Meteorology from Mississippi State University, graduating in August 2018.

Dani is a major foodie and sports fan and enjoys living in NYC where there is never a shortage of restaurants to try and teams to cheer on!
