CALISTOGA, Calif. (KGO) -- Evacuations have been ordered for residents in Calistoga for a growing brush fire burning near Pickett Road.

The fire is burning from the northeastern side of the city to the Silverado Trail, and several wineries are in the evacuation zone.

Ground crews are being aided by an air tanker and a helicopter dropping water on the flames.

ABC7 News meteorologist Drew Tuma says the fire is burning in the same area as the Glass Fire in 2020

As of 5:30 p.m, Thursday, the fire is 0% contained and has burned at least 1,045 acres.

The city of Calistoga said there is no immediate threat or evacuation orders within city limits.

The cause is under investigation.

Evacuation orders, warnings issued for several Napa County residents

Napa County officials said zones NPA-E114 and NPA-E120 are under evacuation orders, while zones NPA-E115, NPA-E121 and NPA-E122 are under evacuation warnings.

Authorities say the Calistoga Community Center is open for evacuees.

CAL FIRE battling Pickett Fire from ground, air

CAL FIRE crews from the ground and the air are trying to get a handle on the Pickett Fire that broke out Thursday in Calistoga.

Officials say so far there are 28 engines, four bulldozers, six hand crews, three water tenders, four air tankers, three helicopters and more than 215 personnel working the fire.

Additionally, Napa County says it has called for additional resources to support the response.
