Job Summary:

The Hive is responsible for producing and editing a significant portion of the theatrical, international, digital, and creative content that promotes both theatrical and streaming releases across Disney Live Action, Disney Animation, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios, and National Geographic. Our work includes high-profile company reels and presentations for major events such as D23, Comic-Con, Disney Investor Day, and more. 

The Hive is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to support the VP, Creative Director. This role is essential to the smooth operation of the Creative department, managing schedules, communications, and administrative tasks to enable the VP to focus on strategic and creative leadership. 

 

This is a fast-paced environment, and we’re looking for a candidate who is personable, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, and can effectively multitask while maintaining a high level of professionalism. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the day-to-day demands of supporting senior leadership and will consistently demonstrate the ability to executive key responsibilities with efficiency and discretion. 

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training: 

  • At least 1+ year of proven administrative experience supporting senior-level executives, preferably within the entertainment industry 

  • High proficiency with Mac systems and software, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, iTunes, Zoom, and Teams. Experience with SAP, Workday, Concur and AirTable is preferred. Comfortable learning new applications as needed. 

  • Skilled at building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Professional phone etiquette. 

  • Trusted to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion. 

  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly to changing priorities. 

  • Detail-oriented with a calm, professional demeanor under pressure. 

  • Proactive, resourceful, flexible and creative problem-solver with a strong sense of initiative and anticipation of needs. 

  • Capable of managing individual tasks while maintaining awareness of broader team goals. 

  • Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting tight deadlines 

  • Physically able to meet job demands, including standing for extended periods and moving carts or boxes when on-site. 

  • Highly motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow professionally. 

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed. 

  • General understanding of post-production workflows is a plus. 

  • Familiarity with Disney’s portfolio of films, brands, and intellectual properties is a plus 


The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $53,300.00 to $71,300.00 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
