Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Sustainability Manager will play a pivotal role in driving progress to align with our ambitious 2030 Environmental Goals. This position will be instrumental in leading environmental data collection, analysis, and reporting for manufacturing facilities producing Disney-branded products. The role is responsible for ensuring high-quality implementation and continuous improvement of the Higg Facility Environmental Module (FEM) program across Disney’s Parks Product Development and Retail (PPDR) supplier base, with a focus on actionable insights that drive progress and measurable results.

This position will lead cross-functional coordination, develop scalable data strategies, manage external vendor communications, and help shape internal processes that improve performance across environmental impact areas such as waste, energy and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical and proactive sustainability professional with experience managing large-scale data initiatives and stakeholder engagement in a global business environment.

This individual must be a self-starter, highly organized, eager to drive progress towards The Walt Disney Company’s sustainability goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of Disney’s Higg FEM strategy, overseeing the annual rollout, ensuring data integrity, driving supplier engagement, and advancing continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of Higg FEM data, validating accuracy, identifying environmental performance gaps, and leveraging insights to support GHG emissions reduction in alignment with The Walt Disney Company’s Scope 3 goals.

  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of FEM completion tracking.

  • Develop and execute a robust data cleansing and integration strategy to ensure consistent, high-quality data that seamlessly integrates into internal reporting systems.

  • Develop year-over-year performance improvement strategies based on FEM data and supplier-specific insights.

  • Manage communications with vendors, including email campaigns, training materials, guidance documents, and targeted outreach.

  • Create compelling visualizations and dashboards using tools such as Smartsheets, Tableau or Power BI to communicate progress to internal stakeholders.

  • Create and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, leadership teams, and cross-functional partners.

  • Conduct factory visits to assess environmental performance, provide technical guidance, and support suppliers in improving their practices.

  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay informed about the latest developments in the Higg FEM.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain Sustainability

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven analytical and data visualization capabilities such as Tableau, MicroStrategy, Power BI, Business Objects, and Smartsheet's.

  • 5–8 years of relevant professional experience in sustainability, environmental data management, supply chain, or related fields.

  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret Higg FEM data and other sustainability performance metrics.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data merging for analytics and reporting.

  • Ability to simplify complex data into actionable insights and compelling storytelling for diverse audiences.

  • Demonstrated experience giving presentations and communicating complex topics to a wide range of audiences.

  • Willingness and ability to conduct domestic and international factory visits as needed.

  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing projects in a global, matrixed organization.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • High degree of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

  • Self-starter with a solutions-oriented mindset and collaborative approach.

  • Knowledge of energy management, energy measurement, and carbon accounting.

  • Full professional proficiency in English.

  • Experience in consumer products, apparel, or retail manufacturing environments is a plus.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Supply Chain, Business, Computer Science or equivalent degree from four-year college or University.
