HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The North Freeway has reopened after a major closure at West Mt. Houston on Saturday morning.
The Houston Police Department said a car hit a tree between the main lanes and the frontage road, killing at least one person and sending another to the hospital.
Houston TranStar verified the crash at 9:48 a.m., which resulted in a complete closure; lanes reopened around 1 p.m.
