Collecting PEZ dispensers is this retired lawyer's guilty pleasure

AGOURA HILLS, Calif. (KABC) -- There is a PEZ collection in Agoura Hills you really must see to believe.

Otto Cipolla is a recently retired attorney. His office walls are lined with PEZ dispensers that go back in PEZ history as far as 75 years. For the last six years, PEZ has been this lawyer's guilty pleasure.

"Over 14,000 line these walls. I have another 6,000 or more in storage!" Cipolla said.

That's more than three times the official Guinness World Record for PEZ collecting. We've seen PEZ in movies like "Ant-Man and The Wasp," in documentaries and even on "Seinfeld."

Cipolla estimates he's invested at least $50,000 in his collection.

"After a while, when it became addictive, I just said, 'I'm gonna have everything.' So, whatever I saw that I didn't have, I went and got," Cipolla said.

He "got" Snow White and the seven dwarves. There are many Mickey Mouse PEZ dispensers, a mishmash of Muppets, the rock band KISS and basketball superstar LeBron James.

Burger King and Ronald McDonald are here. So is Jack in the Box and even Colonel Sanders!

And our "PEZ-idents!"

"They start with Washington, but they end with Obama. They have not made a Biden or a Trump official PEZ," said Cipolla.

While it was fun to collect, Otto is now ready to part with his precious PEZ dispensers for less than what he paid for it all.

"I'd rather give it to someone that would love it and honor it. I'm not here to make money," said Cipolla.

But the burning question - does he like the taste of PEZ candy?

"Oh, the candies are sweet but I'm a diabetic, so I really have to lay off of them!" Cipolla laughed.
