'The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox' trailer teases Hulu's gripping new drama
Hulu's limited series "The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox" premieres August 20 with new episodes streaming Wednesdays.
LOS ANGELES -- Hulu has unveiled the official trailer for "The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox," its upcoming limited series inspired by Knox's real-life fight to prove her innocence.
The trailer gives a first look at Grace Van Patten as Amanda Knox, showing the tense moments that led to her wrongful conviction and the media frenzy that followed. It teases courtroom scenes, emotional confrontations and the intense pressure Knox faced as she tried to clear her name. Viewers also get glimpses of the investigation's twists and the international spotlight that made her case one of the most talked-about trials in recent history.
The series recounts how Amanda Knox was wrongfully convicted of her roommate Meredith Kercher's murder and spent 16 years battling to clear her name. Van Patten leads the cast as Knox, joined by Sharon Horgan, John Hoogenakker, Francesco Acquaroli, Giuseppe De Domenico and Roberta Mattei.
Created by KJ Steinberg ("This Is Us"), the drama is executive produced by Amanda Knox, Monica Lewinsky, Chris Robinson, Warren Littlefield and Michael Uppendahl, who also directs.
"The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox" premieres August 20 with two episodes, followed by new episodes every Wednesday. The finale streams October 1, only on Hulu.
