CHICAGO (WLS) -- Many schools are back in session but there are still ways to save on supplies and clothes.
This at a time when inflation is still taking a toll on back-to-school shopping.
A recent Bankrate study says 30 percent of parents say rising prices are changing how they shop this year. One in five families say school expenses are straining their budgets.
You should stack discounts. That means combining all the tools at your disposal, like a credit card rewards programs, card linked offers, coupons, and store loyalty promotions.
Try to take advantage of all offers on a single purchase.
Buy only what's essential now and delay the rest until later in the school year.
Always write a list of what you really need and make a budget.
