Common Questions

General

Low Supply Notifications

Smart Reorders

How do I switch between low supply notifications, smart reorders, and do not reorder or notify?
Tap “When my supplies are running low” in the device settings to pick between smart reorders, low supply notifications, or do not reorder or notify.

I already have supplies at home, is there any way to adjust my supply level?
Yes, you can update your on-hand stocks level from “Current Level and Supplies” from your device setting in Alexa app.

Do I need an Echo device to use these features?
No, you simply need to connect your device to the Alexa app to enable features.

How does smart reorders differ from Subscribe & Save?
While Subscribe & Save allows you to automatically reorder supplies and household essentials at regular intervals (e.g. monthly or weekly), smart reorders uses your current supply information and usage history to reorder your favorite products before you run out.

Are there any extra charges to use these features?
No. If you set up smart reorders, you will only be charged for the product and the associated shipping and/or taxes & fees, just like your usual shopping on Amazon.

When are low supply notifications and smart reorders triggered?
It depends on your device. Generally we send a notification or place an automatic order (smart reorders) before you run out of your stock.

How does Amazon choose the recommended products?
We recommend products based on a number of factors, such as compatibility, manufacturer's recommendations, availability, price, and more.

If I buy a product that was not recommended by a notification, can the feature still continue tracking my consumption level?
No, you would need to use our recommended product or adjust your on-hand inventory level from the Current Level and Supplies from your device setting in Alexa app.

Can I turn off just the voice notification while still receiving email notifications?
Not at this moment. You can either turn off all or none.

Can I select a product to be recommended by notifications?
No. You can, however, select the specific products when you opt into smart reorders and Alexa will automatically replenish your favorite products.

Can I change a product for smart reorders?
Yes, you can change a product for smart reorders anytime in the Alexa app. To do that, you can go to the device setting page and tap "Supplies">"Product for Auto-Reorder" to find a selection of available products.

What happens if the product I selected is no longer available on Amazon?
We may choose another similar product and let you know by email. You will also have the opportunity to switch the product in the Alexa app.

What if the product I selected is out of stock when an order is placed?
We will keep trying to find available stock for the next 72 hours, after which we will cancel your order and inform you via email. You will need to manually buy an alternative product and update your inventory levels on the Alexa app.

Can the price of the product change after I set up smart reorders?
Yes, they can. The total cost charged to you for each product will be the price at the time the order is placed, less any applicable discounts, plus any applicable sales tax and shipping-related charges. When the price at the time the order is placed is 10% greater than the price when you initially set up smart reorders, you will be notified of this increase in the order placed confirmation email.
