Four firefighters injured in subway-related fire in Queens
Four firefighters were injured when a fire broke out off the 7 train in Queens.

CORONA, Queens (WABC) -- Four firefighters were injured after a fire broke out in a subway room off the No. 7 train Queens.

Flames started in the room near 103 St.-Corona Plaza and Roosevelt Avenue just before 8 p.m. Friday.

The fire was placed under control an hour later.

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital. Two other firefighters are being evaluated by doctors. Their condition is unknown.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
