STAMFORD, Connecticut (WABC) -- Authorities believe they have identified the driver behind the deadly hit-and-run crash of a 13-year-old in Stamford on Saturday night.
Police say the young teen was riding a mini-bike on Courtland Avenue with a family member who was with them on a scooter around 8:45 p.m.
They were on the shoulder of the road when a vehicle hit the mini bike, throwing the teen into a yard.
Officers were eventually able to identify the vehicle and its suspected driver.
So far, the driver has not been charged and has only been identified as a 41-year-old Stamford resident.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information on the deadly crash is asked to call the SPD Crimestoppers line at (203) 977-TIPS.
