In a remote Native village in Northern Alaska, a series of violent and bloody attacks rock the community. James Dommek Jr., an Alaskan Native and the great-grandson of the last of the Iñupiaq story-tellers, is intrigued by the case when the details don't add up.

The story goes like this:

"At the center of the rampage is an unlikely fugitive: Teddy Kyle Smith, a fellow Inupiaq man and successful actor who was greatly admired within his tribe. The mystery only deepens when Teddy is finally apprehended and makes a shocking claim: While out in the wilderness, he had a frightening encounter with Inukuns - sinister beings well known and long feared by the Inupiaq people - and that they had guided his violent actions."

Teddy's claims fall on deaf ears as Native American folklore is pitted against the U.S. justice system.

"Obsessed by the story, James embarks on a journey back to the village to uncover the truth behind what Teddy allegedly saw in those mountains."

Based on the Audible Original "Midnight Son," Hulu's "Blood & Myth" is directed by Kahlil Hudson and produced by Jonas Bell Pasht and Jonah Bekhor. Executive producers are Dommek Jr., Isaac Kestenbaum, Josie Holtzman and Kahlil Hudson. Co-executive producers are Mike Langer and Derek Doneen.

"Blood & Myth" premieres Thursday, September 4 on Hulu.
