EAST NEW YORK, Brooklyn (WABC) -- This week's MTA hero is Barry Pringle, a New York City Transit bus operator from the East New York bus depot.
Pringle was driving a bus along the B15 route earlier this month, when he noticed two young children board his bus.
They appeared to be around 4 and 7 years old.
Pringle asked them where they were going.
The children said they were lost.
Pringle called the bus command center and police officers arrived at the scene.
The kids were soon reunited with their mother, and their mom says she's thankful that Pringle noticed the children were alone and did something about it.
Pringle has been with the MTA for 11 years.
