'Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox' Hulu series premieres in New York City

NEW YORK CITY -- A special premiere, more than 15 years in the making, was held on Tuesday night.

Amanda Knox walked the red carpet alongside her husband, at the New York City premiere of her new scripted series about her life.

She's an executive producer of the "Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox," starring Grace Van Patten.

She was on set reliving some of the hardest moments of her life, but the series gave her a chance to tell her story her way, like never before.

Knox says she simply wanted to tell the truth after so many years of salacious headlines.

Knox had studied abroad in Italy when she was arrested for the murder of her roommate in 2007. She spent four years in prison before her wrongful conviction was overturned.

The first two episodes of the "Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox," drop Wednesday on Hulu, with new episodes every Wednesday.

Hulu is owned by Disney, the same parent company as ABC Owned Television Stations.
