Watch 'On The Red Carpet Presents 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps'' 

It's a *fantastic* time to head to the movies to see the latest from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"The Fantastic Four: First Steps" takes place in a retro-futuristic world as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch and Ben Grimm/The Thing are called on to save the world from the big bad known as Galactus, who wants to devour Earth!

On The Red Carpet was at San Diego Comic-Con among comic book fans to celebrate the movie with "On The Red Carpet Presents 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps'." We also spoke with stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Joseph Quinn as well as director Matt Shakman.

"The key to playing a protector is falling in love. Which is very easy to do when you're in a cast like this," said Pascal.

"These comics meant everything to me as a kid. Sue is so important and special to me. She taught me so much so its honestly amazing to be even one small part of it," exclaimed Kirby.

"This movie was a complicated one. We had to build a whole new universe. We had to build New York in the mid-60s that was also retrofuturistic. Had to pull together this amazing group of actors to create Marvel's first family and bring them to the MCU," Shakman revealed.

It wasn't complicated for Quinn and Moss-Bachrach to embrace their characters.

"To be able to set yourself on fire and fly around, what's not cool about that?" said Quinn.

"I just feel deeply honored that I've been chosen to be the custodian of Ben Grimm for this little bit of time," added Moss-Bachrach.

On The Red Carpet has more from the film's world tour which ended with the Los Angeles premiere. The special also includes moments from this year's San Diego-Comic Con.
