2025 US Open: How to watch the final Grand Slam of the tennis season
The top tennis talent has arrived in the Big Apple from around the globe for the final Grand Slam of the season.
As the 2025 U.S. Open gets underway, here's everything spectators need to know about this year's tournament to enjoy all the action.
2025 U.S. Open Draw is set
On Thursday, the brackets were set for the final tennis championship of the year, with World No. 1 and defending champ Jannik Sinner atop the seeding and a wild-card entry for beloved two-time champion Venus Williams.

Men's singles draw
The men's singles draw on Thursday placed former U.S. Open champions Novak Djokovic, Daniil Medvedev and Carlos Alcaraz in the bottom half, as Sinner anchors the top along with former Grand Slam finalists Stefanos Tsitsipas and Alexander Zverev. American favorite and last year's U.S. Open finalist Taylor Fritz landed in the second half.
In addition to Fritz, there are three other American men in the Top 20 -- Tommy Paul, Ben Shelton and Frances Tiafoe -- seeking to secure their first major title at Arthur Ashe.

Women's singles U.S. Open draw
Three of the American women in the Top 10 seeds -- Coco Gauff (No. 3), Madison Keys (No. 6) and Amanda Anisimova (No. 8) -- make up this year's bottom half, while Jessica Pegula (No. 4) and Emma Navarro (No. 10) were seeded in defending U.S. Open champion Aryna Sabalenka's top half.

U.S. Open Tennis 2025 full tournament schedule
Fan week began Monday Aug. 18, with qualifying matches, the mixed doubles tournament, and women's and men's singles practice rounds taking place across all 22 courts at the famed USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center at Flushing Meadows in Queens, New York.
Week 2, which begins Sun. Aug 24, will see the start of the singles matches through the third round, as well as men's and women's doubles through Saturday, Aug. 30.
Week 3 ushers in the Round of 16 on Sunday, Aug. 31, as well as more doubles action and the first round of the boys' and girls' junior singles play.
Singles quarterfinals matches begin Sept. 2, leading up to the women's semifinals on Sept. 4 and the men's semifinals on Sept. 5.
The women's final will take place on Saturday, Sept. 6, followed by the men's final Sunday afternoon, Sept. 7.

U.S. Open Fan Week

U.S. Open Mixed Doubles 2025
The full 16-team field and draw for the star-studded U.S. Open Mixed Doubles Championship was announced Sunday, with blockbuster pairings like Jessica Pegula and Jack Draper, Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz, and Madison Keys and Frances Tiafoe.
The new-look event, presented by Vital Proteins, takes place Tuesday and Wednesday, with the pairings in contention for $1 million in prize money.
Typically, mixed doubles has run concurrently with the main draw, and the championship is played amid the final weekend of the tournament. This year, the action will move from the outer courts to be held exclusively at the largest stadium courts, Arthur Ashe and Louis Armstrong.

The full tournament broadcast airs on various channels across ABC and ESPN. Play is also streaming on the ESPN app.
How much is the 2025 U.S. Open purse?
The 2025 U.S. Open men's and women's singles winners will earn $5 million.
Finalists will earn $2.5 million, semifinalists will earn $1.26 million, and quarterfinalists will earn $660,000.
The doubles winners will take home $1 million, while finalists will earn $500,000. Doubles semifinalists will earn $250,000 and quarterfinalists will earn $125,000.
Who won the 2024 U.S. Open?
Sinner, who recently won his first Wimbledon Championship, is the defending U.S. Open men's singles champion after defeating American favorite Fritz in 2024.
Sabalenka beat American player Pegula in straight sets to win the 2024 U.S. Open women's singles title.
